Winter is coming, yes Lucy what a intriguing way to welcome to the season we fall in love…winter; it is cozy, it is the time to search for the warmth, it is the time to keep engaged with hot coffee to warm food that keeps us warm. The fog, the mist, the dawn is not the same again during this phase of the nature, we love to get embedded with the bed and we invariable give the morning walk a chilling response and though it is quite a different experience to have the head covered and the gloves in the head and the heavy jacket to beat the cold, try out the audacious venture into the nature…
I am feeling the nature and the pathway to go for a morning walk through the pathway you have led out between the pine trees and trees detached from their green foilages, it is the snow that throws the cold anchor on our outside adventure.
Beautifully done Lucy, indeed loved the composition, simple and striking…
Cheers to a lovely season of winter. Take Care.

Thank you so much for your beautiful words! You perfectly described how I feel about winter. Such a wonderful season, full of beauty. Simple but amazing! Even if the sun isn’t always present, the snow is such a heartwarming gift.
Glad you like the painting. I think the transition from autumn to winter is always fascinating. You can find beauty even in the foggy days! Fog in the forest, is something which I always love to see!
Have a beautiful day and a wonderful new week! Take care! 😀

Yes, I too love the mystical cold of winter, it is the season to give our romantic thoughts a warm welcome, otherwise put in the cold storage…all artistic ideas and art as form gets a impetus with the warmth of the season, though the chilling cold outside keeps us prisoned inside and being confined gives thinking a new dimension and creativity in beauty of snow capped peaks to carpeted snow over the otherwise green cover of nature…
I agree we can discover beauty even in foggy days, beauty is the way we look at life and feelings get the fuel with the wonderful season of winter.
I am sure Lucy, you will have more time for painting and with winter your side, the artistic aspiration would fly high…

I think every season can inspire us. We just have to keep our eyes open for the beauty in everything around us.
You also seem to enjoy cold weather. Do you get any snow in your area?
I must admit, time is my biggest problem right now, when it comes to my paintings, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love to mix activities. Doing only one thing, can get boring fast. Like this, every new painting day is special 🙂
Have a lovely new week! Tc!

Yes Lucy, it is in the eye’s of the beholder. Nature has everything for us and it we keep skip and ignore the bounty that is available to us. We have stopped pausing and musing, reflection is accidental.
Not in the South of India but in North of India, it is the most beautiful part of India Kashmir known as paradise of earth is simple beautiful in winter, and it snows for the next 4-5 months.
Yes, I agree time is not easy to manage and we need to keep dabbling with multiple things to keep our creative juice flowing and also giving our creativity new dimension.
Divergent thoughts and diversity fosters creative…though not good at painting but always fascinated and at awe with the depth and colors of your wonderful paintings.
You too…

Your painting is really wonderful, Lucy. You did a good job of capturing both the deciduous and evergreen trees in the winter months.

I love the colder season, walking in cold weather is so invigorating! The house becomes so cozy, candles, stews, decorations, a warm bed with flannel sheets, all the celebrations: I am the opposite of a hibernator, I come alive again once the temperatures drop! You captured a good cold hike well in your beautiful painting, xo Johanna
