Saying Goodbye to 2014!

It’s been a crazy journey, and I don’t know about you, but for me 2014 went by so fast, I still have troubles believing it’s already the end of December.

With the end of the year fast approaching (only a few hours left) I would like to wish you all a better 2015, filled with love, laughter, joy, accomplishments and beautiful moments spent next to your loved ones.

Before I go, I want to share a few pet safety tips, for tonight. While you enjoy the fireworks, please keep your pets safe inside. Loud noises terrifies them and can affect their sensitive hearing. Also, make sure you keep all alcohol, floral arrangements and party decorations (especially confetti) away from your pets. We want them to have a happy new year as well, right? 🙂

Also, I would like to share with you a few pictures with the New Year Fireworks, from December 2008, in Bucharest, Romania.

Thank you all for reading, and see you in 2015! Happy New Year!!! ❤

  1. Yes the year just seems to have flown by Lucy it’s been a very busy one! Great tips for the pets – we don’t have fireworks in Perth on New Year’s Eve as there is a tradition of Australia Day Fireworks on 26th January each year when there is a spectacular firework display on the Swan River foreshore! Great photos of the ones in Bucharest! Wishing you a very Happy New Year and very best wishes for 2015! 🙂

    • Thank you so much for the wishes and kind words! Here they already started with an occasional loud bang, and Lisa isn’t very happy about it. I thought I put a quick reminder there for every pet owner. Their ears don’t enjoy the sound, that’s for sure. I had no idea about the Australia Day Fireworks. That’s a lovely way to start the year. Happy New Year and all the best to you and your loved ones! ❤

      • Thanks Lucy and hope Lisa isn’t too spooked by the noises. Both Winston (our dog) and Duchess (the cat) would be very scared – in the past they have hidden under the stairs if there’s been a heavy thunderstorm or fireworks! Hope you have a good rest of the day and Happy New Year!! 🙂

      • I’m sure that would be something to watch. I guess all animals do this. Their hearing is so much better than ours, so it’s normal. Lisa will be fine, we’re here with her, not leaving her alone, so everything should be ok 🙂 Thank you for the wishes!

  2. I loved fireworks as a kid, and have only had one dog that freaked out with loud noises, but as fireworks are banned here in SA, my puppies will be fine tonight 🙂 Always good to remember about this though!
Have a great evening, and see you in 2015 🙂

    • I also used to love them until one day when a crazy wind started during the show and some fell on the ground, between people. I think one exploded very close to where I was standing with my parents, so I’m not such a big fan anymore. It’s nice to watch them from a safe distance though 🙂 I’m happy to hear you will be with your pups tonight. I will do the same with Lisa, and hope she doesn’t get scared by any noises. See you next year! 🙂
